3C589 - IBM Thinkpad 760, 755CD

Problem: 3C589 loads in DOS using IRQ 11 and connects to the network, but when connecting to a docking station, 3C589 no longer connects to the network.

Solution: Disable the IRDA port on Com1 and move Mwave (modem) to com1. This operation frees up com2 and loads the 3C589 at IRQ 3. Specify INT 3 in NET.CFG or INTERRUPT=3 in PROTOCOL.INI. The same procedure works in Windows 95.
