3C589 - 3C562 - 3C689 - PCMCIA - Sager P75 - card services

Question: Will 3C589, 3C589B, 3C589C, 3C562, and 3C689 adapters run in a Sager P75 laptop in Enabler mode (Without card services)?

Answer: No. The Sager P75 has a PCI bus and uses a Cirrus Logic PCI to PCMCIA bridge chip residing at I/O address 3000. It must run with Card Services because the Enabler drivers look for the PCMCIA Controller at I/O address 3E0. The HP OmniBook 5000 also uses the Bridge chip at I/O 3480.
