3C589 - Gateway Handbook

Problem: Using 3C589 in a Gateway Handbook with Coax, Group1 and Group2 tests pass but the user cannot receive or transmit under WFW. The user sees other stations by going to FILE MANAGER but cannot copy files to those stations. Under TP cabling, everything works.

Solution: The Gateway Handbook can only put out 250 mA max. The 3C589 requires 430 mA for Coax, 110 mA for TP. The 3C589B requires less power: 210 mA for Coax and 50 mA for TP.
