Question: Do 3Com's EtherLink III coax adapters support extended distances?

Answer: Yes. In an environment that contains only 3Com adapters running over thin (BNC) cables, distances of 1000 ft/305 m can be achieved. Putting even ONE other transceiver on the network reduces the distance to standard Ethernet specifications.
