3C509B - Unipalm/FTP - WFW - system locks when protocol manager loads

Problem: Unipalm/FTP reports problem running 3C509B with WFW (NETBeui) and PCTCP v3.1 loading the NDIS-PKT shim in the Windows SYSTEM.INI. Previously the PROTMAN, NDIS, NDIS-PKT loaded correctly in the CONFIG.SYS, but not in the latest release. System locks up when the protocol manager loads. The PC is a Gateway 2000 with 3C509B pre-installed.
