3C509 - LAPS

Problem: Trying to run LAPS on DOS with the 3C509, the diskette install instructions in the NDIS directory say to follow the default configurations from the first menu and enter the path and name of NIF file in the second menu. There is no option to install the NIF file in the second menu. It has a list of adapters to choose from.

Solution: Per IBM, say YES to INSTALL IMPORT DISKETTE in the first menu (environment). By default it says NO, thus not allowing a third party NDIS driver to be installed. After selecting YES, continue to the second menu and give the NIF file when prompted.
