3C589 - Gateway Colorbook 2000

Problem: ODI driver won't connect to a NetWare 3.12 server.

Solution:
1. Run diagnostics and set the adapter to IRQ 5 and I/O 300. Without CS & SS loaded, it logs on to the server.
2. When CS & SS are loaded, 3C589.COM assigns IRQ 5, I/O 380, and D000 for initialization. "File server not found" reads after NETX. To get the server connection, tell Card Services not to assign an IRQ of 5.
3. Add the following to the Socket Service line in CONFIG.SYS:
SSCIRRUS.EXE /IRM DE98 (default=DEB8)
This disables IRQ 5. After rebooting and loading 3C589.COM, the adapter is assigned an IRQ of 11 and makes a server connection.
