3C589 - WinBook XP5 - Windows 95 - "Network adapter not working"

Problem: When the 3C589 is installed in a WinBook XP5 laptop running Windows 95, the driver installs but generates a "Network adapter not working" error upon reboot or does not generate an error but the network adapter is still not working
properly.

Solution: Change the Input\Output Range to 360 for the 3C589 network adapter, to do this perform the following steps:

1) Go to the Device Manager from the System Icon in the Control Panel and double-click on the 3C589 under
the network adapters heading.

2) Click on the 'Resources' tab at the top and clear the check-mark in the box next to 'Use Automatic Settings'.

3) Double-click on the 'Input\Output Range' setting under 'Resource Settings' and set the value to 360.

4) Click OK to all the prompts that follow, and reboot.
