3C5XX Smartrom install error

Problem: When installing a 3C5XX Smartrom from Lanworks into a 3C509B, it will not complete the install process due a hardware incompatibility and displays:

"Error: A programming error #4 occurred while programming page 9 of the SmartRom."

Solution: To resolve this error the 3C5XX Smartrom needs to be installed into a 3C509 (pre 3C509B) and reconfigured through the Migrate SmartRom option. This Smartrom is still compatible with the 3C509 adapter. 3C509B should use a 3C5-TRIROM. The 3C5XX cannot be configured in the 3C5X9B.
