3C589 - TI 5000 - Windows 95

Problem: In a TI5000 with a US Robotics modem, the 3C589 conflicts with Windows 95 yellow.

Solution:
1. In system BIOS, verify that the PCMCIA is set to MAX and Infrared is disabled.
2. Boot under Windows 95.
3. Remove the modem, COM2 under ports, and the network card from device manager.
4. Take Windows 95 down, power down the machine, and remove the modem and the 3C589 from the slots.
5. Reboot and bring up Windows 95.
6. Insert the 3C589. Go to the device manager and change the resource by removing the check mark from automatic settings.
7. Change the INT to 3.
8. Insert the modem card and it detects new hardware and defaults it to INT 10.
