3C589 - Loading ODI driver returns memory allocation error

Problem: Trying to load a very simple ODI stack, CONFIG.SYS has only HIMEM, EMM386 & DOS UMB. When loading LSL, 3C589 reports "Couldn't allocate attribute memory for Socket A." Excluding memory under EMM386 removes the message but the driver doesn't load.

Should the CIS memory address float around each time the CONFIG program is run?

Solution: The 5/4/94 driver causes the problem. Use the 8/9/94 or later driver from the \netware\odi directory.
