3C509B not recognized in NEC Powermate 466D 486/66

Problem: 3C509B is not recognized in NEC Powermate 466D 486/66 at bootup.

Solution: Boot clean (no AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS). Disable PnP and use PNPDSABL.BAT from the root directory of the EtherDisk or disable it under "Configure Adapter" in the diagnostics.
