3C589B - NEC Versa M-100

Problem: Using a 3C589B and a Practical Peripheral PC288T2 modem in a NEC Versa M-100, the modem works without CS until the MLID for the adapter is loaded. Changing the I/O address and the IRQ do not help. The modem is in SLOT 1 and the 3C589B is in SLOT 2.

Solution: Switch the 3C589B to SLOT 1 and the modem to SLOT 2.
