Running NetWare's Monitor.NLM on EtherLink III 3C5X9.LAN server driver

Problem: When Monitor is run to get a status on the LAN adapter, it is, by default, executed from the System Volume. The 3C5X9.LAN driver is a NetWare 4.0 driver and therefore requires a newer Monitor.NLM than that shipped with NetWare 3.11. A newer version is provided on the EtherDisk that comes with the EtherLink III adapter. If Monitor.NLM on the EtherDisk has not been copied over to the System Volume or is not specified with a path on the LOAD statement, the default Monitor.NLM file provided with NetWare 3.11 will be executed. Executing the original Monitor.NLM causes the server to issue an ABEND (ABnormal END) message when LAN ADAPTER INFORMATION is requested.

Solution: Make sure that the Monitor.NLM file from the \NetWare\386 directory on the EtherDisk is copied into the System volume or that a path to the local partition is included in the Monitor LOAD statement.
