3C589C - Austin Edge CD - Windows 95 - Power Management Is Not Functioning Properly

Problem: There is coax cable connected to the Windows network.

When Power Management is disabled in the BIOS, the computer can detect the network.

When Power Management is enabled, the network is not visible.

Solution: Follow these steps:

1. Perform a clean DOS boot.
2. Run Install.exe from the root of the EtherDisk.
3. Go into Configure.
4. Change the transceiver type from autosense to COAX.
(This forces the transceiver type to always load for coaxial cable use.)
5. Save the settings.
6. Restart the computer.
