3C90x - Slow performance with a Pentium Pro using 54X PCI chipset

3Com has observed during testing, that some early Pentium Pro models using the Intel 54X PCI chip sets do not
fully support the full bandwidth throughput of the PCI bus.

Symptoms that may occur when the 3C905-TX, 3C900-TPO, or 3C900-COMBO adapter is installed in a PC with an
early Pentium Pro processor can include: an abnormally high number of discarded receive packets, or performance
below what the wire can support.

This can sometimes be fixed by obtaining a BIOS update from your system vendor; if this upgrade is available.
