3C905-TX - WFW - Modifying setup to include IPX/SPX, NetBEUI, and TCP/IP

Modifying the installation of the 3C905-TX in WFW

Double-Click on the MAIN icon.
Double-Click on the WINDOWS SETUP icon.
On the menu bar select the OPTIONS menu choice.
On the OPTIONS pull down menu select CHANGE NETWORK SETTINGS.
Click the NETWORKS button.
Click the INSTALL MICROSOFT NETWORKS radio button.
Click the OK button.
Click on the DRIVERS button.
Click on the ADD ADAPTER button.
Select UNLISTED OR UPDATED DRIVER from the pull down selections.
Path out to A:\WFW311 from Disk 2 and press ENTER.
Select the 3Com Etherlink XL/Etherlink XL ADAPTER selection and press ENTER.

At this point the adapter is installed in WFW with the Microsoft NetBEUI and IPX/SPX Compatible protocols. If you wish to use the TCP\IP protocol you will need to download the file €TCP32B.EXE€ from Microsoft€s website. Please refer to the installation instructions below to install TCP\IP.

Using the Microsoft TCP/IP Protocol Stack version 3.11b

Select the MAIN icon.
Select the WINDOWS SETUP icon.
On the menu bar select OPTIONS menu choice.
On the OPTIONS pull down menu select CHANGE NETWORK SETTINGS.
Click on the DRIVERS button.
Click the ADD PROTOCOL button.
Select UNLISTED OR UPDATED DRIVER from the pull down selections.
Give it the path A:\ and press ENTER.
Select the Microsoft TCP/IP 32 3.11b selection and press ENTER.
Highlight the Microsoft TCP/IP 32 3.11b and click the SETUP button.

At this point you will need to setup the TCP/IP information with either a static IP address and the Subnet Mask information or select a DHCP client
