3C90x - HP Vectra VL6 P233 - Hangs on boot up after loading ODI driver

Problem: Connects to Netware server using ODI driver 3C90x.com. However, after a reboot, the computer
will lock up when the BIOS initializes up to 45%. This occurs on every reboot.
If the driver is unloaded (through command: 3C90x /u ) before rebooting, the computer will not lock up.
The lock up occurs only when rebooting with the driver still resident in memory.

Solution: In the BIOS, under PCI Configuration, PCI slot devices menu; choose the option to enable long reset.
The default setting is short reset. If the setting is kept on short reset , the BIOS is not able to release the driver from
memory; therefore the BIOS is reinitializing a device that is already loaded in memory.
