LAN Display Options
When you select the LAN display options, the screen in Figure 3-16 is displayed:

This screen allows you to enter the unit's IP address and IP network mask. You must configure the Management Controller Module with a unique IP address if you want to configure and manage the chassis and the device modules across the LAN.
The fields on this screen are:
Description Shows the product name of the selected SLIM.
Reference A text field can be entered to describe the product or show the product's location. For example: AB7000_Cirenc.
IP Address Enter a unique IP address for the AccessBuilder 7000 Access Concentrator.
Network Mask Enter a suitable IP subnet mask for the class of IP address used.
To move the cursor to the correct line press the [RETURN]. To move between fields use [TAB].
The commands available from this screen are:
Interface statistics
Ethernet statistics
LAN routing
IP statistics
ICMP statistics
TCP statistics and status
UDP statistics and status

Viewing Interface Statistics
Press [CTRL]+[N] to display the Port Interface statistics screen shown in Figure 3-17.

This screen shows information about the frames received at and transmitted from the LAN interface. Press [CTRL]+[R] to reset the statistics counters to 0.

Viewing Ethernet Statistics
Press [CTRL]+[T] to display the LAN Port Ethernet Statistics screen shown in Figure 3-18.

This screen shows more detailed information about the frames received at and transmitted from the LAN interface. Press [CTRL]+[R] to reset the statistics counters to 0.

Configuring LAN Routing Information
If you are managing the unit across the LAN or from another network, you need to configure routing information so that the Management Controller module knows how to route information. You can configure routing for up to seven workstations.
Press [CTRL]+[R] to display the routing screen as shown in Figure 3-19.

The fields on this screen are:
Type Toggle this field to valid to enable routing.
Destination Type the IP address of the remote workstation or network.
Mask Type a suitable subnet mask for the IP address class used.
Gateway Type the IP address of the router that connects to this network.

IP Statistics
The IP statistics screen shows detailed IP statistics for the LAN interface.

ICMP Statistics
The ICMP statistics screen shows detailed ICMP statistics for the LAN interface.

TCP Statistics
The TCP statistics screen shows detailed TCP statistics for the LAN interface.

UDP Statistics
The UDP statistics screen shows detailed UDP statistics for the LAN interface.
