NOTE:
This CD contains files required for installation into Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows CE 2.11 and 3.0. Supported products include 3CRWE737A, 3CRWE73796B, 3CRWE747A, 3CRWE74796B. Also includes firmware upgrade, encryption support, and Ad-hoc support. Please note also that you will be downloading the entire CD content.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES FOR UPGRADING YOUR AIRCONNECT PRODUCT.
NOTE: You cannot upgrade the AirConnect PC Card to Firmware version
2.0 on a card that currently has Firmware version 1.0. You must upgrade the
AirConnect PC Card to Firmware version 1.5 before upgrading to Firmware version
2.0. The AirConnect PC Card can only be upgraded to Firmware version 2.0 using
the Firmware Upgrade Utility that is downloaded with the 2.0 drivers. In order to
upgrade the AirConnect PC card to firmware version 2.0 you must do the following:
- Uninstall the existing AirConnect utilities and drivers from your system. Refer to the User Guide for instructions.
- Reinstall the card with the 2.0 drivers and utilities. Follow the instructions from the AirConnect 2.0 CD.
- Once this has been done you can proceed with the following steps to upgrade your AirConnect PC card to Firmware version 2.0.
- Go to START>PROGRAMS>3COM AIRCONNECT>AIRCONNECT FIRMWARE UPGRADE UTILITY. The AirConnect Firmware Upgrade Utility will appear.
- In the Firmware Filename box, enter the path to the new firmware file 3COMPC.img. The Firmware file 3compc.img can be found in the Firmware\MU folder that comes with the 2.0 drivers and utilities that you have downloaded. Example Path: C:\3com\Firmware\MU
- Once the correct path has been entered click UPDATE. You will be prompted to close all programs that are running.
- Close all running programs and click OK. You will receive a message indicating that the Firmware was successfully updated
- Click YES to reboot your machine.
AirConnect Access Code for 128bit encryption
NOTE:
This file contains the Access Code to enable 128-bit encryption and is required to enable 128-bit support with the AirConnect upgrade 2.0 CD. This file is only needed for the 3CRWE737A and 3CRWE747A products. 128-bit encryption may not be available in all countries shipping AirConnect.

NOTE: This CD contains the shipping files required for installation into Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98,
Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows CE. Also, includes firmware upgrade and encryption support. If
you have previously upgraded to CD V1.2 you will not need to upgrade your firmware or drivers to CD V1.5.
The only benefit from this CD for you will be the Windows CE drivers. Please note also that you will be downloading the entire CD content.
