OfficeConnect Remote Dual Analog Router 2.2.0 Upgrade Wizard Instructions

Upgrading your OfficeConnect Remote Dual Analog router requires three main steps.

  • Download the Upgrade Wizard to your computer.
  • Save the OCRDA Configuration.
  • Run the Upgrade Wizard to upgrade your OfficeConnect Remote Dual Analog router.

The following instructions are for users upgrading an OfficeConnect Remote Dual Analog router via a PC running Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0.

We assume that you have already downloaded the Upgrade Wizard to your computer's hard drive.

NOTE: It is strongly recommended that you save the OCRDA configuration before beginning the upgrade process. The OCRDA configuration is saved by pressing the Save Configuration via the OCRDA GUI Home Page. The OCRDA must be rebooted as part of the upgrade process; therefore any configuration changes not saved will be lost. All saved changes are remembered after the upgrade. Note that the Modify button will not save changes after a reboot, and should not be relied upon for making permanent changes.

Before beginning the upgrade, it is also recommended that all other PC applications be closed.

To upgrade the firmware on your OfficeConnect Remote Dual Analog router, follow these steps.

1. Place the Upgrade Wizard program (dau220.exe) on the hard drive of your PC in a directory of your choice, such as the Desktop.

2. Double-click the file (dau220.exe) to start the Upgrade Wizard.

The Upgrade Wizard dialog box opens.

3. Leave the OfficeConnect Remote Dual Analog Address field set to the default value of 192.168.200.254 This field should be changed only if you have changed the default address on your router or if you have designated another device on your LAN as your DNS server.

4. Enter your OfficeConnect Remote Dual Analog router username and password, if applicable. If you have never set a password on the router, leave this field set to the default of "!root".

5. Click Continue to begin the firmware upgrade procedure.

The front panel LEDs begin to flash, indicating that the firmware upgrade is in progress. When complete, the Congratulations dialog box opens.

6. Click Exit to close the Upgrade Wizard.

This completes the firmware upgrade procedure. Next, be sure to read all of the current documentation to fully understand the features and enhancements added in this firmware release.
